Best Pizza in Broadbeach
Seven independent pizza places within walking distance of Oracle Boulevard, ranked on recent reviews, with Margherita prices read off each venue’s own menu on 27 September 2026.

Broadbeach has more good pizza than its size suggests, and most of it is a short walk from the Oasis. We checked 15 independent pizza places in and around Broadbeach - chains excluded - against their own menus and their most recent Google reviews, and ranked the seven worth your evening.
The ranking leans on recent reviews rather than lifetime star ratings, because a pizza place can change a lot in a year. Where a venue’s own sources contradict each other on hours, we say so. Prices are the Margherita (or the nearest equivalent) as listed on the venue’s own menu on 27 September 2026 - a fair like-for-like test of what you will pay.
This is an independent guide: we are not paid by any venue listed.

1. Ciccio’s Pizza & Gelato - Best Overall
Ciccio’s, at 104 Surf Parade, has the best recent review record of any pizza-first venue in Broadbeach: 4.7 on Google from 369 reviews, and its 60 most recent reviews average 4.72 with only three at three stars or below (checked 27 September 2026). It is about a three-minute walk from the Oasis.
The Margherita is $29.70 - the priciest on this list - and a gluten-free base is $5.50 extra. You can eat in, pick up or order delivery, and there is gelato for afterwards. Its own ordering page lists a 10:30pm close while Google shows 9:30pm, so ring ahead if you are planning a late one.
The gelato is half the name. It is the easiest dessert stop on Surf Parade after dinner anywhere on the strip.
2. Freghete - Highest Rated, Worth the Walk
Freghete, at 1 Naranga Avenue in Broadbeach Waters, has the highest Google score in the area: 4.9 from 540 reviews. It is a pizza specialist working with a biga dough, and the Margherita is $26.
It ranks second only on practicality. It is a 20 to 25 minute walk from the Oasis (or a short drive), it closes around 8:30pm, its official channels do not say whether it offers gluten-free bases, and a handful of recent reviews mention a soggy centre. If the pizza is the point of the evening and you can eat early, it is the one to try.
With a close around 8:30pm (per Google), plan a 6pm dinner. It is not a late-night option.
3. Cucina Vivo - Best Wood-Fired Sit-Down
Cucina Vivo at The Star is a full Italian restaurant with a wood-fired oven, and its recent reviews are the strongest of the sit-down options: 4.3 overall from 1,034 reviews, but its 60 most recent average 4.73. The Margherita is $26 and every pizza can be made gluten-free for $5 more.
It is about a seven-minute walk from the Oasis across into The Star. Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday only, and the menu PDF on its site is dated December 2025, so prices may have moved slightly. See our Italian restaurants guide for the rest of the menu.
Cucina Vivo serves dinner Tuesday to Saturday. On a Sunday night, Ciccio’s, Gemelli or Valentinos are the closest alternatives.
4. Sal’s Authentic New York Pizza - Best by the Slice
Sal’s, at 90 Surf Parade, is the only true slice shop in Broadbeach: a cheese slice is $7.25, and an 18-inch cheese pizza is $39. It rates 4.6 on Google from 219 reviews and opens from midday most days, which makes it the easy lunch between the beach and the shops.
One clear caveat: the most common complaint in its reviews is delivery reliability, not the pizza. Walk in and buy a slice rather than ordering it to your apartment. Its menu lists 12-inch gluten-free pizzas, but they were sold out when we checked.
Two slices and a drink is the cheapest good lunch on Surf Parade, and it is four minutes from the sand.
5. Gemelli Italian - Wood-Fired, With Strict Sittings
Gemelli is one of Broadbeach’s busiest Italian restaurants, with 2,352 Google reviews, a wood-fired oven, a $28 Margherita and gluten-free bases for $5 extra. The pizza is not the problem: its recent average has slipped to 4.05, and the complaints are about enforced 90-minute and two-hour sittings and waits for tables.
It works best for groups who book the later sitting, when you are not being hurried out for the next booking. See our full Gemelli review for the menu and booking advice.
Earlier sittings are time-limited. The last sitting of the night is the one where nobody needs your table back.
6. Valentinos - Family-Run, Open Every Night
Valentinos is a family-run Italian-Australian pizzeria and restaurant, about three minutes from the Oasis, open seven nights. Its 60 most recent Google reviews average 4.65 (4.3 overall from 1,315). A large Margherita is $30 and gluten-free bases are available.
The catch is its popularity: on busy nights reviewers report waits of an hour or more. Book, or go early.
Open every night, a classic Italian-Australian menu and a relaxed room - the easiest choice with kids on a Sunday or Monday.
7. Mario’s - Most Convenient
Mario’s is inside the Oasis centre, so it is the pizza place you pass on the way to everything else. It is open for lunch and dinner and does three sizes, with a Margherita at $22, $28 or $34 (small, medium, large). Gluten-free is medium only, at $7 extra, and Sunday and public-holiday surcharges apply. Its recent reviews average 4.37, with the complaints mostly about food arriving lukewarm.
Its own contact page lists two different sets of opening hours and Google shows a third, so check before you go.
If you are already at the Oasis Woolworths, Mario’s is the zero-effort lunch. For a destination dinner, walk three minutes further to Ciccio’s.
Also Worth Knowing
Double Zero is fully wood-fired Neapolitan and had the cheapest wood-fired Margherita we found at $23, but its recent reviews average 3.85 and several reviewers since January 2026 say it has changed owners. We have left it off the ranking until that settles.
Not a pizza place: Oro by Sogno Italiano rates highly and shows up in “best pizza” searches, but its menu has no pizza.
Chains nearby: Pizza Hut Broadbeach, Domino’s at Mermaid Beach, La Porchetta and Marie’s Pizza. Domino’s “Broadbeach” listing is actually in Surfers Paradise.
For delivery to an apartment, Ciccio’s and Mario’s both deliver; given the reviews, we would pick up from Sal’s rather than have it delivered.
Several Broadbeach restaurants add 10 per cent on Sundays and 15 per cent on public holidays. Check the bottom of the menu before you order a round of pizzas.
