Broadbeach (postcode 4218) is a beachside suburb in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, 3.3 km by road south of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast Highway. It sits on the Pacific Ocean shoreline between Surfers Paradise to the north and Mermaid Beach to the south, with Burleigh Heads 8 km further south, Gold Coast Airport 19 km south and Brisbane Airport about 93 km north.
Three landmarks define Broadbeach Gold Coast: The Star Gold Coast casino-resort complex at the northern end, Pacific Fair Shopping Centre (one of Queensland’s largest, with 400+ stores), and Oracle Boulevard - a pedestrian dining and bar strip running parallel to the beach with over 100 restaurants and cafes.
Broadbeach will host beach volleyball at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. Two annual free music festivals - Blues on Broadbeach (May) and Groundwater Country Music Festival (October) - fill the streets with stages each year. Hotels book out months ahead for both.

April to October is the best time to visit Broadbeach Gold Coast - warm days (20-26°C), lower humidity than summer, and two of the suburb’s three major festivals fall in May and October. Summer (December-February) is peak beach season but brings humidity and afternoon storms.
