Broadbeach Art and Craft Markets

The signature Broadbeach market experience. Held on the grassy area of Kurrawa Park right along the beachfront, these morning markets combine ocean breezes, beachfront views, and a curated selection of art, craft, and food stallholders.

When: First and third Sunday of each month, 8am–2pm (weather permitting)
Where: Kurrawa Park, Broadbeach (between Old Burleigh Road and Broadbeach Boulevard)
Entry: Free
Parking: Street parking fills quickly – arrive early or walk from your accommodation. The Oasis car park on Victoria Avenue is the closest multi-storey option.

Expect 100–130 stalls selling handmade jewellery, clothing, candles, art prints, homewares, and gourmet food products. The food truck section is excellent – you’ll find everything from wood-fired pizza to Malaysian satay, Greek souvlaki, and fresh açaí bowls.

The atmosphere is the main draw. Watching the sun set over the ocean while browsing stalls with live music playing is quintessential Gold Coast.

Carrara Markets

The Gold Coast’s biggest permanent market – a massive undercover space with 400+ stalls operating every weekend. Carrara Markets is more bargain-hunting than boutique, but the variety is unmatched.

When: Every Saturday and Sunday, 7am–2pm
Where: Corner of Gooding Drive and Manchester Road, Carrara
Entry: Free, plenty of parking
Getting there: 15-minute drive from Broadbeach, or catch the 740 bus from Broadbeach South

You’ll find fresh produce (excellent tropical fruit, seafood, and flowers), clothing, electronics, tools, homewares, and a large food court. It’s not Instagram-pretty, but it’s genuine and you’ll find things you won’t find at Pacific Fair.

Miami Marketta

The Gold Coast’s best street food market and live music venue. Miami Marketta is part market, part entertainment venue – it’s housed in a large warehouse space with a rotating lineup of food vendors, bars, and live bands.

When: Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings (check their website for seasonal hours)
Where: 23 Hillcrest Parade, Miami – 5 minutes south of Broadbeach
Entry: Free most nights, occasional ticketed events

The food is the highlight – think Korean fried chicken, handmade dumplings, woodfired pizza, Thai street noodles, and artisan gelato. There’s a full bar and the live music ranges from jazz to rock to DJ sets.

This is a popular date night destination. Arrive early (before 6:30pm) on Fridays and Saturdays to avoid queues.

The Village Markets, Burleigh Heads

A curated, boutique-style market focused on emerging designers, handmade goods, and specialty coffee. The Village Markets are popular with the fashion-forward Burleigh crowd and worth the 10-minute drive south.

When: First and third Sunday of each month, 8am–1pm
Where: Burleigh Heads State School, 1750 Gold Coast Highway
Entry: Free

Expect independent fashion labels, handmade ceramics, artisan candles, and excellent coffee. The vibe is more curated and design-focused than Carrara – think Etsy in real life. The Burleigh beachfront and James Street café strip are a short walk away, making it easy to combine with a morning out.
