Broadbeach’s Sunday market in Kurrawa Park - the Broadbeach Art and Craft Markets for years, and The Coastal Markets since March 2026 - runs on the first and third Sunday of the month from 8am to 2pm along the beachfront. With ocean views and stalls selling everything from handmade jewellery to local art, plants, and artisan food, they’re a highlight of any Broadbeach visit.

The Coastal Markets, Broadbeach (formerly the Art and Craft Markets)
Broadbeach’s own market, on the grass of Kurrawa Park along the beachfront. It has a new name in 2026: the long-time operator, Art and Craft on the Coast, closed on 28 February 2026, and Goodwill Projects took over from March as The Coastal Markets - same park, same Sundays, same hours. Google Maps and older guides still use the old name.
When: 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month, 8am-2pm, rain, hail or shine. Remaining 2026 dates: 4 and 18 October, 1 and 15 November, 6 and 20 December (the operator publishes the rule, not a date list).
Where: Kurrawa Park, Old Burleigh Road, Broadbeach.
Entry: Free. Dogs on a lead are welcome.
Getting there: walk from anywhere in Broadbeach, or take the tram to Broadbeach South. Street parking on Old Burleigh Road is metered and fills early; the Oasis and Oracle car parks are close by.
Expect art and craft, handmade fashion, gifts and homewares, some produce, food stalls, live music and activities for kids. The same operator runs sister markets at Coolangatta on the 2nd Sunday and Burleigh Heads on the last Sunday, so there is a Coastal Market most Sundays of the month.
Is There a Night Market in Broadbeach?
No - the Broadbeach market is a Sunday morning market, and there is no Friday or Saturday night market in Broadbeach itself. The two night markets closest to Broadbeach are both on the tram line:
Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets - Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 4pm-9pm, on the foreshore at The Esplanade, running since 1995. Artisan and Australian-made goods, souvenirs, food and live music; free. Tram to Cavill Avenue.
Miami Marketta - Wednesday to Saturday from 5pm at 23 Hillcrest Parade, Miami. A fully undercover street food market with around 15 vendors and free live music, so it runs in any weather; a few nights a year a ticketed show takes over the venue. Tram to Miami station.
NightQuarter at Helensvale, which many older guides still list, closed in 2019.
Carrara Markets
The Gold Coast’s big weekend general market, and the closest large market to Broadbeach by car.
When: Every Saturday and Sunday, 8am-3pm, all year, plus a car boot sale on Sundays from 7am to 10am.
Where: Corner of Gooding Drive and Manchester Road, Carrara - about 5 km and 6 minutes’ drive. Not on the tram line.
Entry: Free, with free parking. No dogs.
Around 300 stalls of produce, clothing, homewares, tools and bargains, plus Rollerama and mini golf on site. It is more bargain-hunting than boutique, and genuinely different from anything in Pacific Fair.
Farmers Markets Near Broadbeach
Gold Coast Organic Farmers Market - every Sunday, 6am-11:30am, Merrimac State High School, Dunlop Court, Mermaid Waters. Certified organic, and the closest produce market to Broadbeach at 5 minutes’ drive.
HOTA Farmers & Artisan Markets - every Sunday, 6am-11:30am, beside the lake at Home of the Arts, 135 Bundall Road. About 10 minutes’ drive.
Burleigh Market - every Saturday until noon at Burleigh Heads State School (the website says it opens at 7am, its Instagram says 6:30am). Farmers market plus arts, crafts and antiques; free parking on the oval, or a short walk from the new Stage 3 tram stops.

Markets That Have Closed
Two markets that older guides still send Broadbeach visitors to are no longer running: The Village Markets at Burleigh Heads closed in May 2024 (Burleigh Market still runs on Saturdays on the same grounds), and NightQuarter at Helensvale closed in 2019. The Marina Mirage farmers market at Main Beach also appears to have stopped, with the centre being redeveloped.
Tips for Visiting Markets Near Broadbeach
Most stalls take cards now, but smaller stallholders and food vans can be cash-preferred, and card terminals drop out on busy mornings.
The Coastal Markets say they trade in any weather. Carrara’s main areas and Miami Marketta are undercover. Check The Coastal Markets’ social pages if the weather is extreme.
If you are staying in Broadbeach, walk. Old Burleigh Road parking is metered and fills early on market Sundays.
