Gold Coast Markets This Weekend

Every regular market on the Gold Coast, by day and by weekend, checked against each market’s own website and social pages on 27 September 2026 and rechecked on 10 October 2026. Includes the night markets, the farmers markets, the Tweed markets on NSW time, and the ones that have closed.

The Gold Coast has a market running almost every day of the week, but the useful question is which ones are on this weekend - and that depends on the Sunday. The big art and craft markets rotate by week of the month, the farmers markets run every weekend but finish before lunch, and the night markets cluster on Wednesday to Saturday evenings.

This page answers it three ways: a weekend-by-weekend calendar to the end of December, the markets that run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and the monthly markets with their 2026 dates. Every day and time below was checked against the market’s own website or official social pages on 27 September 2026 and rechecked on 10 October 2026. Where two official sources disagree, we say so rather than pick one.

One change catches out a lot of visitors this year: the Broadbeach, Burleigh and Coolangatta art and craft markets are now run by a new operator as The Coastal Markets. The previous operator, Art and Craft on the Coast, closed in February 2026. Same parks, same Sundays, new name.

Markets on Every Friday

Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets - Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 4pm to 9pm, on the foreshore at The Esplanade. Running since 1995, with artisan and Australian-made goods, souvenirs, gourmet food and live music, and over 100 stalls. Free. From Broadbeach it is 4 km, or the G:link tram to Cavill Avenue station.

Miami Marketta - Wednesday to Saturday from 5pm at 23 Hillcrest Parade, Miami. A fully undercover street food night market with around 15 food vendors and free live music, so it runs in any weather. A few nights a year a ticketed show takes over the venue; its online calendar flags them. Take the tram to Miami station.

Sanctuary Markets - every Friday from 4pm at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, 28 Tomewin Street, Currumbin: international street food, craft stalls and produce, with free parking. The organiser’s site says it closes at 9pm and its Facebook page says 8:30pm. About 19 minutes’ drive south of Broadbeach.

Dreamworld Night Market - Friday and Saturday, 5pm to 9pm, inside Dreamworld at Coomera, with 20-plus food trucks, live music and some rides. Entry is $2, free for children under 13 and pass holders. It is closed every weekend from 9 to 31 October 2026 and reopens on Friday 6 November. About 29 minutes’ drive north.

🚊
Two night markets on the tram line

Surfers Paradise (Cavill Avenue station) and Miami Marketta (Miami station) are both on the G:link from Broadbeach, with flat 50-cent fares. No parking to find on a Friday night.

Markets on Every Saturday

Carrara Markets - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 3pm, all year, on the corner of Gooding Drive and Manchester Road, Carrara. The Gold Coast’s big general market, with around 300 stalls, plus Rollerama and mini golf on site. Free entry and free parking; no dogs. Only 6 minutes’ drive from Broadbeach, but not on the tram line.

Burleigh Market - every Saturday until noon in the grounds of Burleigh Heads State School, on the corner of the Gold Coast Highway and West Burleigh Road. A farmers market with arts, crafts and antiques, and a pre-loved rack sale on the last Saturday of the month. Its website says it opens at 7am and its Instagram says 6:30am. Free parking on the school oval, or a short walk from the new Stage 3 tram stops.

Palm Beach Farmers’ Market - every Saturday, 6am to 11:30am, at Palm Beach Currumbin State High School, Thrower Drive. Around 75 stalls; no dogs. About 18 minutes’ drive.

Helensvale Farmers Market - every Saturday, 6am to 11am, at Helensvale State High School. Its own website has not been updated since 2022, so check before making the 26-minute drive.

Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets, Miami Marketta and the Dreamworld Night Market (from 6 November) run on Saturday evenings too.

⏰
Farmers markets finish before lunch

Most Gold Coast farmers markets open at 6am and are packing up by 11am. The best produce goes first - go early and have breakfast there.

Markets on Every Sunday

Carrara Markets - 8am to 3pm, with a car boot sale from 7am to 10am on Sundays.

HOTA Farmers & Artisan Markets - every Sunday, 6am to 11:30am, beside the lake at Home of the Arts, 135 Bundall Road, Bundall. About 10 minutes’ drive, or a 20-25 minute walk from Cavill Avenue tram station.

Gold Coast Organic Farmers Market - every Sunday, 6am to 11:30am, at Merrimac State High School, Dunlop Court, Mermaid Waters. Certified organic, and the closest farmers market to Broadbeach at 5 minutes’ drive.

The Robina Farmers Market - every Sunday, 6am to 11am, at Robina State High School, 1 Investigator Drive. Some older articles say it runs on the third Sunday only; its own channels say every Sunday.

Tweed Heads Market (NSW) - every Sunday, 7am to 12pm NSW time at Recreation Street, Tweed Heads. From 4 October that is 6am to 11am Gold Coast time.

Monthly Sunday Markets and Their 2026 Dates

The Coastal Markets - Broadbeach - 1st and 3rd Sunday, 8am to 2pm, Kurrawa Park, Old Burleigh Road. Formerly the Broadbeach Art and Craft Markets. Art, craft, handmade fashion, gifts and homewares, food and live music; free entry, dogs on a lead welcome, and it runs rain, hail or shine. Tram: Broadbeach South. 2026 dates: 4 and 18 October, 1 and 15 November, 6 and 20 December. The operator does not publish a date list; these follow its stated 1st-and-3rd-Sunday rule.

The Coastal Markets - Coolangatta - 2nd Sunday, plus the 4th Sunday in months with five Sundays, 8am to 2pm, Queen Elizabeth Park, Marine Parade. 2026 dates: 11 October, 8 and 22 November, 13 December. On 11 October the market runs along the beachfront from the Coolangatta Hotel zebra crossing to Greenmount because of the GC50 Festival; beachfront access from the north is limited, so come in via Tweed Heads or the Coolangatta back streets. About 27 minutes’ drive.

The Coastal Markets - Burleigh Heads - last Sunday, 8am to 2pm, Justins Park, The Esplanade. Tram: Second Avenue. 2026 dates: 25 October, 29 November, and 27 December if it trades between Christmas and New Year (not yet confirmed).

Paradise Point Market - 4th Sunday, around 8am to 1pm, Paradise Point Parklands. 2026 dates: 25 October, 22 November, 27 December (unconfirmed). About 24 minutes’ drive.

Tamborine Mountain Country Markets - 2nd Sunday, 7am to 1pm, Tamborine Mountain Showgrounds; no dogs on market day. 2026 dates: 11 October, 8 November, 13 December. About 44 minutes’ drive - pair it with a day in the mountains.

Beechmont Country Market - 3rd Sunday, 8am to 1pm. 2026 dates: 18 October, 15 November, 20 December. About 42 minutes’ drive.

📅
How to work out the Sunday

Broadbeach is the 1st and 3rd Sunday, Coolangatta the 2nd, Burleigh the last. In a month with five Sundays, Burleigh falls on the 5th and Coolangatta adds a second market on the 4th.

Night Markets on the Gold Coast

There is no night market in Broadbeach itself - the Broadbeach market is a Sunday morning market. The Gold Coast’s night markets are:

Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets - Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 4pm to 9pm, plus occasional one-off Sunday nights for events.

Miami Marketta - Wednesday to Saturday from 5pm; Google lists a 10pm close.

Sanctuary Markets, Currumbin - Friday from 4pm.

Dreamworld Night Market - Friday and Saturday 5pm to 9pm, closed 9-31 October 2026.

Emerald Lakes Twilight Market, Carrara - Thursday from 3pm.

NightQuarter at Helensvale, which still appears in many lists, closed in 2019 and moved to the Sunshine Coast.

🌙
Friday night without a car

From Broadbeach the tram reaches both Surfers Paradise (north) and Miami Marketta (south). Pick one, eat there, tram home.

Christmas Markets 2026

Christmas Markets GC is confirmed for Friday 18 to Sunday 20 December 2026, 4pm to 10pm, at Broadwater Parklands, Southport. Entry is free, and it is a short walk from Broadwater Parklands tram station.

The Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets ran a Christmas Twilight Market on 12-13 December 2025, and HOTA ran one on Saturday 20 December 2025. Neither had announced 2026 dates on its own channels as at 10 October 2026. No market had published trading for Christmas Day, Boxing Day or the weekend of 26-27 December when we checked. We will update this page as they do.

🎄
Christmas week

Assume the monthly markets on 27 December are not confirmed until the operator says so. The weekly farmers markets are the safest bet that weekend.

Tweed and Northern NSW Markets (NSW Time)

New South Wales starts daylight saving on Sunday 4 October 2026 and Queensland does not, so from that day every NSW market runs an hour ahead of the Gold Coast clock. Times below are NSW time, with Gold Coast time in brackets.

Tweed Heads Market - every Sunday, 7am to 12pm (6am to 11am Gold Coast time), Recreation Street, Tweed Heads. About 29 minutes’ drive.

Kingscliff Lions Beachside Market - 2nd and 4th Saturday, 8am to 1pm (7am to 12pm), at the northern end of Jack Bayliss Park, Marine Parade (between Terrace and Ocean Streets), Kingscliff. 2026 dates: 10 and 24 October, 14 and 28 November, 12 December; 26 December (Boxing Day) is unconfirmed. About 34 minutes’ drive.

Salt Beach Markets - 3rd Saturday, 8am to 1pm (7am to 12pm), Central Park, Bells Boulevard, Kingscliff, with around 70 stalls. 2026 dates: 17 October, 21 November, 19 December. About 41 minutes’ drive.

🕐
Set your watch

From 4 October, a Tweed market that opens at 8am opens at 7am Gold Coast time. Arrive by your phone’s clock, which will switch when you cross the border.

Markets You Will Still See Listed That Have Closed

Market guides go stale fast. These still appear in older articles and map listings but are not running:

The Village Markets, Burleigh Heads - closed in May 2024. Burleigh Market (Saturdays) still runs on the same school grounds.

NightQuarter, Helensvale - closed in February 2019 and moved to Kawana on the Sunshine Coast.

Marina Mirage Farmers Market, Main Beach - its social pages have been removed and the centre is being redeveloped; treat it as closed.

Art and Craft on the Coast - the former operator of the Broadbeach, Burleigh and Coolangatta markets closed on 28 February 2026. Its markets continue as The Coastal Markets, and Google Maps still shows some of them under the old name.
