Meriton Suites Broadbeach: An Honest Review

The 32-storey apartment tower on the Gold Coast Highway – what the suites are really like, who it suits, and who should book elsewhere.

Meriton Suites Broadbeach: An Honest Review

Meriton Suites Broadbeach is one of the most searched-for places to stay on the entire Gold Coast, and the reason is simple: it hits the middle of the market harder than almost anything else in the suburb. Full apartments with kitchens and laundries, indoor and outdoor pools, and a location at 2669 Gold Coast Highway that puts Pacific Fair, the beach and the dining precinct all within a short walk – at indicative low-season rates from around $180 a night.

But a serviced apartment tower is not a hotel, and that distinction is exactly where Meriton delights some guests and disappoints others.

This is an independent review – we’re not affiliated with Meriton. Here’s what you’re actually booking, the honest trade-offs, and how it stacks up against Broadbeach’s alternatives.

The Verdict in 30 Seconds

  • What it is: a 32-storey serviced apartment tower – studios plus 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites with full kitchens, in-suite laundry and balconies
  • Facilities: indoor pool and spa, outdoor pool, sauna, gym, free wifi, 24-hour reception
  • Location: about 5-8 minutes’ walk to both the beach and Pacific Fair; the dining precinct is on your doorstep
  • Indicative price: from around $180/night low season – strong value for the space you get
  • Know before you go: onsite parking is paid (recently listed around $15/night) and this is apartment-style, not full hotel service
  • Best for: families, groups and stays of 3+ nights. Look elsewhere for luxury hotel service or rock-bottom budget

The Suites: Apartment Space, Hotel Booking

Suite size beats floor height

A bigger suite on level 8 beats a cramped one on level 28 for everything except the photos. Prioritise bedrooms and space first, views second.

Facilities: The Pools Carry It

🚗

Budget for parking

Add roughly $15 a night for the onsite carpark (confirm the current rate when booking). If you don’t need a car, the tram and 50 cent fares honestly cover most Gold Coast trips.

The Location: Why It Books Out

🚊

Skip the car hire entirely

Tram on the doorstep, beach and shops in walking distance, 50 cent fares everywhere – this is the building to test a car-free Gold Coast trip from.

Who Should Book It – and Who Shouldn’t

📅

Book early for school holidays

Apartment towers with pools are the first things to sell out in QLD school holidays. For winter (27 June – 12 July) and summer breaks, book months ahead – and compare rates across booking sites before you commit.

Frequently Asked Questions

For families, groups and stays of three nights or more – yes. You get apartment-sized suites with full kitchens and in-suite laundry, indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna and gym, and a location 5-8 minutes’ walk from both the beach and Pacific Fair, at indicative low-season rates from around $180 a night. It’s not the right pick if you want full luxury hotel service – the Sofitel or The Darling serve that market.

About a 5-8 minute walk to the sand at Kurrawa Beach. Pacific Fair shopping centre is a similar walk in the other direction, the Surf Parade dining precinct is effectively on the doorstep, and the G:link tram (flat 50 cent fares) stops nearby.

Yes to both. Facilities include an indoor heated pool and spa, an outdoor pool, sauna and gym. Onsite parking is available but paid – recently listed around $15 per night (confirm the current rate when booking).

Studios plus 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites across the 32-storey tower. All suites include private balconies, full kitchens (full-size fridge, cooktop, espresso machine), in-suite washer and dryer, and free unlimited wifi. Higher floors offer ocean or hinterland views at a premium.
